TRADED THE CARDS FOR THE CROSS
If you'd said a few years ago that the tarot cards would be gone, the Reiki would be left behind and Jesus Christ would become the centre of everything, I would have laughed in your face.
Spirituality wasn't just an interest. It became a way of life.
Years of travelling the world led through many different paths in search of healing, truth and something deeper. Living in the jungle of Costa Rica, sitting in ayahuasca ceremonies with shamans, practising Reiki, running energy workshops, manifestation classes and working professionally as a tarot reader.
Reiki brought experiences that once felt incredibly “high vibrational”. Ayahuasca opened altered states that felt profound, spiritual and otherworldly. Living in an avatar movie is how I used to describe it. There were moments that genuinely felt like a huge connection to something divine.
But underneath it all, something was still missing.
So the search continued.
Another healing.
Another ceremony.
Another reading.
Another spiritual practice.
Another layer to uncover.
There was always something else to heal, clear, unblock or understand.
Then, while living in Australia, everything began to change.
The journey towards Jesus wasn't an overnight conversion. Seeds had been planted through different people, different experiences and some incredibly painful seasons of life.
Eventually I couldn't ignore the signs.
I didn't even buy my first bible. I found it sitting alone on a park bench in Perth , getting soaked in the rain ...
Inside, I opened it to see how damaged the pages were from the rain, Highlighted was Jeremiah 33:3, call to me and I will answer you and show you unimaginable things you do not know. Being big into my angel numbers this was something I couldn't ignore.
Jesus signs started appearing everywhere and I couldn't ignore it.
Ive experienced various energies in my life but nothing compares to the Holy Spirit.
And everything that had once been described as “high vibrational energy” suddenly had something to be compared to.
There was no comparison.
The presence of the Holy Spirit was unlike anything previously experienced through Reiki, tarot, manifestation, ayahuasca or years of exploring spirituality.
The endless search finally began to make sense.
It wasn't another ceremony that was needed.
It wasn't another tarot card.
It wasn't another energetic activation.
It was Him.
Giving my life to Christ meant walking away from tarot, Reiki and beliefs that had once formed a huge part of my identity.
This isn't shared to put down anyone still walking that path.
There's an understanding of exactly why people are drawn towards these practices because that world was once home. The search for light, healing, purpose and truth was genuine.
But after searching for God through so many different doors, eventually the search led to the One who had been missing all along.
Jesus Christ.
Finding Jesus doesn't mean life suddenly becomes perfect.
There are still many battles because spiritual warfare is real.
And anyone who has experienced spiritual warfare knows how heavy simply getting through a day can sometimes feel.
The mind feels like a battlefield.
The fear, your faith gets tested.
Its in these moments, having the Word of God right in front of you can be the reminder you desperately need.
That's where the heart of Sacred Rebellion Faith Co. comes in.
Reminders.
A Psalm across your chest.
A protection prayer there when the battle feels heavy.
Scripture reminding you to stand firm when everything around you is telling you to crumble.
The clothing itself doesn't hold the power.
God does.
But His Word reminds us where that power, protection and authority come from.
Sometimes you need that reminder right in front of you.
Pray.
Stand firm.
Put on the full armour of God.
Remember who you belong to.
Remember that you aren't walking through the battle alone.
